Anna Shepherd's life as a school teacher is up-ended in a single day when she's fired after a drunk, steamy night with her school's sponsor, Max Harpman. However, her unemployment ends as abruptly as it started when she's invited to work as a child's private tutor. Which is great, except for the fact that her student's guardian is her handsome one-night stand, Max. Things are further complicated when Max requests her to give him private lessons on high society etiquette. As a series of sensual encounters ensues, Max learns as much as he can about Anna including her mysterious past.
